Thanks to all members whom donated so generously to our annual toy drive of December 9. The toys were delivered to Interfaith Community Services a few days after our party - thanks Kathy. A letter of appreciation from Interfaith is attached. Happy holidays to givers as well as beneficiaries.

This year, three members are to be elected to the Board to serve a two year term which will start in February 2024. Two current Board members will leave the Board at that time. This is a call for candidates who are interested to serve on the NCCC Board and take part in steering the direction of the club. It's time for our annual Holiday Toy Drive. Our donations will be given through Interfaith Community Services, a charity with a 4 out of 4 star rating. They provide supportive housing for over 2,000 individuals in North County. The toys you donate will go to 125 families who have case managers to assist them with reaching goals toward self sufficiency. You can help these children have a Merry Christmas by donating a new unwrapped toy. Gifts for 11-13 year olds are especially needed (e.g. arts & crafts sets, gadgets, sports). Your donation will be collected at the start of the club rides on Saturday, December 9, or it can be brought to our Holiday Party on the same day. Thank you for your support.

CELEBRATE THE SEASON!  This year's Holiday Party will be slightly different. A social hour from 5:30 pm with a chance to meet and circulate, followed by a brief Members Meeting and then a splendid dinner. This year's event will be on Saturday December 9, 2023, 5:30 pm, at the Valley Club in La Costa Valley 5:30: Social hour with mulled wines or cider and nibbles 6:30: Members meeting 7:00: Dinner Sign up is closed as of December 6th. It's that time of year when Ghoulies and Ghosties, And long-leggity Beasties, And all Things go bump in the Night. Yes the phantom of the bicycle joined us on a recent ride. As you will see if you meet him on one of our rides, he is fit and well; as they say, ghosts stay fit by exorcising regularly. ONECLUB ride:  Saturday September 30 our quarterly ride where we start all riders together for about the first ten miles. More than 50 riders lined up for the mass start of our July OneClub  ride celebrating Independence Day on July 1 and about sixty sat down for lunch including non riding members and guests. Following lunch Sean introduced our new club kit supplier offering a very wide range of kit and highly flexible delivery. Sean and team are working on the final design; more news expected in six to eight weeks. All event photos available here.

The NCCC "4th of July" Picnic this year will be on Saturday July 1st. We will begin with a OneClub ride starting at 8:00 am from Stagecoach Community Park 3322 Camino De Los Coches, Carlsbad, CA 92009 Cruisers and Clippers, note: 8:00 am ride start! FIRST - We ride as ONE CLUB with all groups rolling out together at 8:00 am and riding as ONE CLUB to Encinitas Community Park. There we regroup and go on our various rides; check the home page for your options. SECOND - We meet back at Stagecoach Park for a picnic at around 11:30 to noon. Sandwiches from Jersey Mikes will be provided. and THIRD - There will be an opportunity to try on the new 2023-25 club "fit kit". Wait, you aren't done! We need to know...
