Cruisers have two group rides: Regular and Long. Regular rides are 15 – 20 miles and Long rides are 35 – 45 miles (sometimes longer).

Peg Demery ride leader – rides longer rides at a faster pace (average speeds 12-16 mph) with plenty of adventure and safe routes with rest stops halfway. Join us for lunch after the Saturday rides and coffee / tea after Wednesday rides.

All Saturday rides start at 8:30 a.m. unless posted otherwise. Departing from OCRR (Restaurant Row – San Marcos) 1020 W San Marcos Blvd., San Marcos, CA  92078 behind Tony Romas unless noted on the NCCC forum or Listed Rides.

Note: All riders are expected to follow the NCCC Rules of Etiquette on all Cruiser rides. Also of interest is this article on Info for Group Riding. Helmets are required on all rides. Mountain bicycles are not recommended for these road surface rides.

Please take note of route mileage and know your limits… These are No Drop Rides, but if you are unable to complete the ride, you will have to plan for someone to pick you up at your location.

Wednesday Morning Rides

SPECIAL EVENT RIDE: Wednesday, May 13th – Encinitas Coaster Station to Coronado - Lunch / Via National City (54.1 miles, route map) – return via the Coaster from Santa Fe Station.
Note: For slower paced, shorter, beginner rides, call Diane Martin at 760-471-2239 by Tuesday evening.
Saturday Regular Rides

May 2 – Oceanside Harbor or Las Pulgas to San Clemente to Ellie’s Café for a break ☺. They have great pastries – Yum!
Meet at Oceanside Harbor in the parking lot. For Camp Pendleton Start 8:00 a.m. (47.7 miles).

Entrance to FREE parking left if going to harbor exit (across Joe’s Crab Shack) or if you have a large truck/car entrance is left off of Harbor Dr. and Carmelo Dr. You will see a Del Taco & Mobil Station.

NOTE: Bring a valid ID to ride on the base or Meet at Las Pulgas park n ride at 8:45 a.m. (39 miles). Las Pulgas is approx. 9.6 miles north of the Harbor on I-5 N take exit 62. Limited parking space so you might want to get there a bit earlier.
