Cruisers have two group rides: Regular and Long. Regular rides are 15 – 20 miles and Long rides are 35 – 45 miles (sometimes longer). Long rides are typically at a faster pace (average speeds 12-16 mph) with plenty of adventure and safe routes with rest stops halfway. Join us for lunch after the Saturday rides and coffee / tea after Wednesday rides.
 

All rides start at 8:30 a.m. unless posted otherwise. Departing from OCRR (Restaurant Row – San Marcos) 1020 W San Marcos Blvd., San Marcos, CA  92078 behind Ten Twenty Prime unless noted on the NCCC forum or Listed Rides.

Note: All riders are expected to follow the NCCC Rules of Etiquette on all Cruiser rides. Also of interest is this article on Info for Group Riding. Helmets are required on all rides. Mountain bicycles are not recommended for these road surface rides.

Please take note of route mileage and know your limits… These are No Drop Rides, but if you are unable to complete the ride, you will have to plan for someone to pick you up at your location.

Wednesday Rides
Rides start @ OCCR: 8:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted
Ride leader: Norval Lyon

Jan 31: To the coast via PAR, El Camino Real and Canon, return Tamarack, Lake and S Melrose. 24.5 miles, 1875', route map.

Feb 7
: Daley Ranch (or Dixon Lake). Mostly a flat easy ride BUT with a real "entertainment" to reach Dixon Lake. 25 mi, 1400' route map.

Feb 14: Via Santa Fe to Guajome Park, Oceanside returning Mesa Dr and Melrose. 26 miles, 1700', route map.


Feb 21: NOTE ALTERNATIVE START POINTS: to San Clemente Pier. A choice of routes. Depart 0830 from Oceanside Harbor (car park between Riverside Dr and Harbor Dr), and return. 47 miles, 1800', route map - OR depart 0915 from Las Pulgas I5 Parking and return: 27 miles.
Munch or lunch at San Clemente Pier.

Feb 28: OCRR to S. Escondido, Bear Valley and return Mission. 27 miles, 900', route map.

 
Saturday Regular Rides
Diane Martin Ride: If you want to ride at a slower pace ride and/or are a beginner rider, for a ride about 15 to 20 miles, then please call Diane Martin at 760-471-2239 by Friday evening. Ride Start Time and Location TBD.

Saturday Long Rides
Rides start @ OCCR: 8:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted. The Dec 9 Toy Ride starts at 8am.

Feb 3: Inland rail trail to Escondido, down Del Dios to Rancho Santa Fe to La Costa up El Camino back on San Marcos Blvd. 35 miles 2000', route map.
A bonus stretch at the end: 38 miles, 2400', route map.
Gravel edition: 39 miles, 2500', route map.

Feb 10: Kit Carson to Hidden Trails, 32 miles, 1000', route map.
Bonus route: 35 miles, 1400', route map.
A taste of gravel: 36 miles, 1500', route map.

Feb 17: Valley Center down Old Castle, 40 miles, 2300', route map.
Adventure gravel route: 38 miles, 2500', route map.

Feb 24: Bates Nut Farm, Lake Wolford, 38 miles, 1800', route map.
Old Guejito Rd., gravel ride: 41 miles, 1900', route map.
