Ride Ratings 

Beginner: rolling short climbs, frequent regroups, fire roads
Intermediate: few rolling hills, longer climbs, some steep hills, regroups, singletrack, fire roads
Advanced: steep hills, very long climbs, few regroups, technical singletrack, fire road.

Start Time: Most, but not all, rides will meet at the trailhead at 8:15 AM. Check each ride for proper meeting time.

Safety: Riders must wear helmets meeting CPSC or Snell safety standards.

Summer Riding:
As the temperature increases remember to bring enough water and electrolyte replacement to stay well hydrated during the ride.


PLEASE NOTE: A "USFS Adventure Pass" is required to park in the Cleveland National Forest. This would apply to: Pioneer Mail, Penny Pines and the Meadows Trailheads, Noble Canyon Trailhead in Pine Valley, Black Mountain and Mesa Grande Rides, and the Corral Canyon OHV Area Lake Morena ride.

SATURDAY RIDES

JUNE 7, NO RIDE SCHEDULED

JUNE 14, 8:15 AM, WEST SIDE, LOS PENASQUITOS PRESERVE
Rating: Beginner, 15 miles
Trailhead: Penasquitos Park trailhead on the West End located on the south side of Sorrento Valley Blvd.
Ride around the preserve and up on the Sorrento Mesa for fire roads and some single-track.

JUNE 21, 8:15 AM, CUYAMACA
Rating: Intermediate, 26 miles
Trailhead: Sweetwater Bridge parking area, Rancho Cuyamaca State Park
This ride will depend on the current conditions.

JUNE 28, 8:15 AM, DALEY RANCH
Rating: Intermediate, 16 miles, fire road, single track, steep climbs
Trailhead: Daley Ranch Parking Lot. Take El Norte Parkway exit off I-15 in Escondido to La Honda Drive (look for the Lake Dixon signs).

SUNDAY  RIDES
  
JUNE 1, 8:15 AM, EAST SIDE, LOS PENASQUITOS PRESERVE
Rating: Beginner, 15 miles
Trailhead: Canyon Side Community Park off Black Mountain Road, park in west end near trail.
We start from the east end and ride around the preserve and up on Sorrento Mesa for fire roads and some single track.

JUNE 8, 8:15 AM, SYCAMORE CANYON
Rating: Intermediate, 15 miles single track, fire road
Trailhead: Sycamore Canyon Trailhead at the end of Sycamore Canyon Road in Poway. Note that the exit ramp
from Scripps Poway Parkway to Sycamore Canyon that is shown on some maps is NOT open to traffic.
We will be riding in Sycamore Canyon and exploring the surrounding area.

JUNE 15, 8:15 AM, NOBLE CANYON
Rating: Advanced, 26 miles, 5000 feet, very technical single track.
Trailhead: Noble Canyon Trailhead off of Pine Creek Rd. in Pine Valley. Adventure Pass
We ride up the Noble Canyon Trail to Penny Pines and then we turn around and begin the descent.

JUNE 22, 8:15 AM, LAKE HODGES
Rating: Beginner 16 miles, single track, fire road
Trailhead: Coast to Crest Sunset Drive Trailhead, exit I-15 at Via Rancho Parkway, head east, turn right on Sunset
Drive, go to end of cul-de-sac.
This out and back ride on the North Side Trail will depend on the current trail status.

JUNE 29, 8:15 AM, LAGUNA RAMBLE AND PICNIC
Rating: Beginner/Intermediate, 20 miles, single track
Trailhead: Meadows Information Center Trailhead on Sunrise Highway, Adventure Pass
We start out on the old highway and make our way over to the Big Laguna Trail, turning around at sunrise highway
for the trip back.
Bring a picnic lunch to eat after the ride.
