Ride Ratings 

Beginner: rolling short climbs, frequent regroups, fire roads
Intermediate: few rolling hills, longer climbs, some steep hills, regroups, singletrack, fire roads
Advanced: steep hills, very long climbs, few regroups, technical singletrack, fire road.

Start Time: Most, but not all, rides will meet at the trailhead at 8:15 AM. Check each ride for proper meeting time.

Safety: Riders must wear helmets meeting CPSC or Snell safety standards.

Summer Riding:
As the temperature increases remember to bring enough water and electrolyte replacement to stay well hydrated during the ride.


PLEASE NOTE: A "USFS Adventure Pass" is required to park in the Cleveland National Forest. This would apply to: Pioneer Mail, Penny Pines and the Meadows Trailheads, Noble Canyon Trailhead in Pine Valley, Black Mountain and Mesa Grande Rides, and the Corral Canyon OHV Area Lake Morena ride.

SATURDAY RIDES

AUGUST 30, 8:15 AM, INDIAN CREEK/BIG LAGUNA
8:15 AM @ Pioneer Mail Picnic Area (Adventure Pass)
Rating: Intermediate, 25 miles, hilly rocky single track
10:00 AM @ Penny Pines Trailhead (Adventure Pass)
Rating: Beginner/Intermediate, 16 miles, rolling single track
The Pioneer Mail ride follows single track up to Champagne Pass. We then take the Indian Creek and Noble Canyon Trails to Penny Pines Trailhead where we meet the riders starting at Penny Pines. The ride continues on the Big Laguna Trail system.


SEPTEMBER 6, 8:15 AM, EAST MESA

Rating: Intermediate/Advanced, 20-30 miles
Trailhead: Sweetwater Bridge parking lot, Rancho Cuyamaca State Park
The ride will go up the fire road to East Mesa, then to Indian Creek Trail and Pine Mountain looping back to return through East Mesa.

SEPTEMBER 13, 8:15 AM, WEST SIDE, LOS PENASQUITOS PRESERVE
Rating: Beginner, 15 miles
Trailhead: Penasquitos Park trailhead on the West End located on the south side of Sorrento
Valley Blvd. Ride around the preserve and up on the Sorrento Mesa for fire roads and some single-
track.

SEPTEMBER 20, 8:15 AM, LAGUNA RAMBLE
Rating: Beginner/Intermediate, 20 miles, single track
Trailhead: Meadows Information Center Trailhead on Sunrise Highway, Adventure Pass
We start out on the old highway and make our way over to the Big Laguna Trail, turning around at Sunrise Highway for the trip back.

SEPTEMBER 27, 8:15 AM, CUYAMACA WEST SIDE LOOP
Rating: Intermediate, 26 miles
Trailhead: Sweetwater Bridge parking area, Rancho Cuyamaca State Park
We’ll ride a loop on the West Side.

OCTOBER 4, 8:15 AM, DALEY RANCH
Rating: Intermediate, 16 miles, fire road, single track, steep climbs
Trailhead: Daley Ranch Parking Lot. Take El Norte Parkway exit off I-15 in Escondido to La Honda Drive (look for the Lake Dixon signs).

SUNDAY  RIDES
  
AUGUST 3, 8:15 AM, DALEY RANCH
Rating: Intermediate, 16 miles, fire road, single track, steep climbs
Trailhead: Daley Ranch Parking Lot. Take El Norte Parkway exit off I-15 in Escondido to La Honda Drive (look for the Lake Dixon signs).


SEPTEMBER 7, 8:15 AM, LAKE HODGES
Rating: Beginner 16 miles, single track, fire road
Trailhead: Coast to Crest Sunset Drive Trailhead, exit I-15 at Via
Rancho Parkway, head east, turn right on Sunset Drive, go to end of cul-de-sac.
This is an out and back ride on the North Side Trail.

SEPTEMBER 14, 8:15 AM, SYCAMORE CANYON
Rating: Intermediate, 15 miles single track, fire road
Trailhead: Sycamore Canyon Trailhead at the end of Sycamore Canyon Road in Poway. Note that the exit ramp from Scripps Poway Parkway to Sycamore Canyon that is shown on some maps is NOT open to traffic.
We will be riding in Sycamore Canyon and exploring the surrounding area.

SEPTEMBER 21, NO RIDE

SEPTEMBER 28, 8:15 AM, MISSION TRAILS
Rating: Intermediate 15-20 miles, fire road, single track
Trailhead: Multi-use Staging area west of the intersection of SR-52 and Mast Blvd.
This ride includes steep climbs and descents with plenty of rocks.
